THE REAL QUESTION

Turn a conversion problem into a clear improvement plan. Working Weekends reviews the customer journey, identifies friction and scopes implementation around the evidence available, from product discovery and mobile usability to cart progression and checkout requirements.

THE APPROACH

Turn a conversion question into a testable plan.

An evidence-led process for established Shopify businesses in the UK, US and UAE.

01 / SCOPE AND DELIVERY

Find where customers lose confidence

Review product discovery, product information, variant selection, mobile layouts, delivery messaging, forms and cart progression. We use the available analytics and customer feedback to distinguish an observed problem from a hypothesis.

02 / SCOPE AND DELIVERY

Check measurement before judging performance

Agree the conversion event, reporting period and relevant customer segments. Review the tracking setup and record a baseline. A purchase-rate change can reflect traffic quality, promotions or stock availability as well as website changes.

03 / SCOPE AND DELIVERY

Build a prioritised test backlog

Each proposed change records the customer problem, supporting evidence, expected mechanism, implementation effort and success measure. We separate urgent defects from experiments so essential repairs do not wait for a test programme.

04 / SCOPE AND DELIVERY

Implement within an agreed Shopify scope

Work can cover product and collection templates, navigation, merchandising, forms and cart interactions. We check what the current Shopify plan and theme support before scoping checkout changes. Releases include mobile and order-journey checks.

05 / SCOPE AND DELIVERY

Use a measurement method the traffic can support

Where the audience and tooling support a controlled experiment, agree the test design and decision rules before launch. For lower-traffic stores, use research-led improvements and report before-and-after observations with their limitations, not as proof of causation.

06 / SCOPE AND DELIVERY

Make results and responsibilities clear

A written scope identifies the changes, access requirements, approval owners and reporting approach. Reporting separates observed results from assumptions. We do not promise a fixed conversion uplift, and ongoing maintenance is scoped separately.

Frequently asked questions

What is included in a CRO audit and implementation project?

The scope should separate diagnosis from delivery. An audit can identify tracking issues, usability problems and hypotheses for improvement. Implementation turns agreed recommendations into tested changes. Each item needs an owner, an acceptance condition and an appropriate way to evaluate the result.

How do you approach checkout performance?

First distinguish a broken interaction from a broader optimisation question. Review the available funnel evidence, payment and delivery information, device behaviour and plan-dependent checkout capabilities. A confirmed defect may need repair; an unproven design idea may need an experiment. These are different types of work.

How are experiments evaluated?

Agree the primary outcome, audience, test method and decision criteria before launch. Record relevant business context such as campaigns, promotions and stock changes. A before-and-after observation should not be presented as proof that a website change caused an uplift.

What happens when a store has too little traffic for a useful A/B test?

The work can focus on specific defects, usability review, measurement checks and customer feedback. Qualitative and quantitative evidence answer different questions; one is not automatically more valuable. The reporting should explain what was observed and what remains uncertain.

Should we use an agency or an in-house team?

Compare access to research, development and measurement skills; implementation capacity; tooling; and total ongoing cost. A clear scope matters more than the label. We can discuss a focused audit, implementation sprint or ongoing programme without assuming every store needs the same arrangement.

Do you only work with Shopify Plus stores?

No. We scope work around the current store, Shopify plan and customer journey. Plan-dependent features are checked before we recommend an implementation.

Do you guarantee a conversion-rate increase?

No. Results depend on the business, traffic, offer and execution. We agree what will be measured and report the evidence without promising a fixed uplift.

How do we start and what does it cost?

Share your store URL, primary customer market and the buying problem you want to solve. We define a focused audit or implementation scope and provide a written quotation before work begins.
